New Hybrid UTAH-400 Series Video and Audio Router Family at CABSAT 2012
In cooperation with end-to-end satellite systems integrator and OB van manufacturer Pals Elektronik, Utah Scientific will introduce its new hybrid UTAH-400 series video and audio router family at CABSAT 2012. The UTAH-400 hybrid routing solution combines embedded-audio signal processing with video routing on one frame. The new capability comes courtesy of a new line of I/O boards that rely on advanced FPGA (field-programmable gate array) technology to perform signal processing.
The router's I/O board has built-in advanced signal processing to complement the embedded audio feature and aid in shuffling audio channels. The advanced signal processing enables the router to deserialize and decode a signal into its component data streams without compromising the router's overall operational reliability. As a result, audio channels are shuffled automatically without an outboard device or manual intervention.
The enhanced UTAH-400 routing systems also incorporate a virtual control panel to provide an easy-to-read display of the video signals and their associated audio positions. The GUI design enables control of digital signal processing functions and other signal configuration information.
